In 1990, after years of hard living, Bruce heard the call of Christ, and subsequently served as a lay minister in the Episcopal Church. In 1997 he began a course called Education for Ministry, a program of the University of the South School of Theology in Sewanee, Tennessee, which he completed in 2000. In 2001 Bruce released a Christian music CD of his own songs called "The Damascus Road" and he began doing concerts and performances as part of his music and evangelistic ministry. As an evangelist/music minister, Bruce performed concerts in the US, Canada and Europe. With a heart to spread the Gospel to those who feel "left out" in a traditional church, and a determination to serve those in his mission field fully, Bruce heeded God’s call and was ordained to the ministry by Evangel Fellowship International in 2005. Pastor Bruce continues his education today as a home-study student enrolled at Louisiana Baptist University.
